Extensive training in a field essential for Quebec's economic success 

The Travel Consulting and Selling study program aims to train travel counselors. The job consists of welcoming customers, identifying their needs and expectations and providing them with information on the agency 's travel and service offerings. She or he advises clients on destinations, means of transportation, accommodation and associated costs for the purpose of selling travel products and services. She or he performs administrative activities, including reservations, invoicing, as well as payment for products purchased and preparation of travel documents. High quality customer service is expected from him.

The role of the travel advisor also consists of informing customers about travel conditions such as entry and exit requirements, foreign currencies and exchange rates, traveler safety, etc. etc.

With your diploma, you can work in a travel agency, for a hotel chain or even for an airline or the Ministry of Tourism. With us, you will learn the secrets of travel and become an informed advisor, who can make all the difference in choosing the best escape package.

Our program consists of a series of courses focused on the acquisition of specialized skills and integration into the labor market.

Prerequisites

  • Be at least 16 years old on September 30 of the school year in which the student begins his training and have obtained Secondary IV credits in language of instruction, second language and mathematics
     
    or - Be 18 years old at the start of the training and have passed the TDG. (general development test) as well as the language of instruction course FRA1033-1
     
    or - Have obtained an equivalence from the Ministry of Immigration and Cultural Communities (MICC) of 4th or 5th secondary in general education or at a higher level, or a DEP
     
    or - Have passed a school-level equivalence test (TENS) from the Ministère de l'Éducation, du Loisir et du Sport (MEES).

Subsidized training, with the possibility of Loans and Bursaries for residents of Quebec.
